Present and Future of Business in Russia: Future Scenarios and More
Baltic Business Analysis, June 2009, Pages: 74
The main factors that decrease the number of investments in Russia are governmental role in business, talks about crime and corruption, bad international image of Russia and the fall of speculative stock exchange. Many investors are also scared by high inflation rate. To be honest, inflation is the most dangerous negative factor that can have an influence on the companies’ activity. We do not believe that Russia’s international political decisions can exclude it from global economy. Russia is a big supplier of energy and countries in Europe and Asia are interested in partnership. Today, people are scared not only because of global economical crisis, but also because of difficult relations between Russia and Ukraine. We believe that You heard about orange revolution and promises in Ukraine? We also believe that You know the situation in this country today. In fact the population in Ukraine is divided by two parts. Eastern part has the same history as Russians and considers Russia to be their second homeland. Western part shares different religion and even speaks different Ukraine language. Besides, western part of Ukraine historically belongs to Poland. In fact the conflict between Ukraine’s parts made orange revolution possible.
